Overview
Urban Scholars provides each student with up to $15,000 to attend a four-year college or university.
Application Dates - Closes February 14, 2014
Eligibility
- Must be committed to earning a bachelor’s degree at a 4-year college.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher in 9th grade.
- Must sign a pledge to achieve high school requirements.
- Must promise to assist at least one student to attend college.
- Must attend and graduate from a CSF – DC HERO high school
- Anacostia Senior High School
- Ballou Senior High School
- Friendship Collegiate Academy Public Charter School
- H.D. Woodson Senior High School
- Maya Angelou Public Charter School (Evans)

Overview
The College Success Foundation - DC Leadership 1000 Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by individuals, foundations, or businesses and provides four-year scholarships to deserving students from Washington DC who need assistance attending college. A College Success Foundation DC Leadership 1000 Scholarship can be customized around a general set of requirements requested by the donor. Scholarships are provided by benefactors who promise to give $5000 per year for each of four years. To learn more about the application process and eligibility criteria, see below.

Eligibility
- Must be a high school senior, actively working to prepare yourself academically for admission to a four-year college, demonstrating your academic potential through your commitment to your classroom work and assignments.
- Must have a 2.75 GPA or higher.
- Must plan to be or already pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree.
- Must be eligible for the federal Pell Grant program. You and your family must file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), if eligible to apply. If not eligible to submit a FAFSA, alternative financial information must be submitted.
- Must attend or have graduated from a District of Columbia Public School or District of Columbia Public Charter High School. If applying for the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation Scholarship, you must attend a DCPS, DCPCHS or a Prince George’s County public high school.
