District of Columbia DC Leadership 1000 Scholarship

The College Success Foundation-DC Leadership 1000 Scholarship is funded by individuals, foundations or businesses and provides four-year scholarships to deserving students from the District of Columbia who need assistance to attend college. Scholarships are provided by benefactors and are generally $5,000 per academic year for up to five years for a maximum of $25,000.

Donors may establish a named scholarship with a family name, foundation name or company name and, if they wish, may be introduced to the scholar recipient. This scholarship program is flexible; the donor(s) may establish specific parameters for the scholarship, such as determining a specific area of study, graduation from a particular high school or region, or enrollment at a particular college. Donations are used as last-in funding to fill the financial gaps, allowing scholars in need to attend college.

For information on donating to the Leadership 1000 Scholarship Program, please contact Barrie Jacob, Program Associate, at 202-207-1800 or email us.
