About the Foundation
We provide COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS and MENTORING to low-income,
high-potential students
The District of Columbia College Success Foundation was created in 2006
to expand the pipeline of low-income and under-represented students who
complete a baccalaureate degree by providing students the educational
and financial incentives, mentoring and other supports necessary to gain
admission to the colleges and universities of their choice. The desired
long-term outcome is to sustain the efforts of this program by building
support from families, communities and especially the DC Public Schools
administration, high school principals and teachers for all students.
The combined effect of this belief is the realization of a college-ready
culture in the high schools where overall student achievement is boosted
and the previous gaps in achievement between and among different groups
of students are eliminated.
